Spring 2007
We have had a very busy spring this year beginning with Charlie's 2nd Birthday on March 11th. We held a "choo-choo" party for him and lots of friends and family attended. I still can't believe he is already a two year old! A week later we had him in for a scheduled surgery to remove his tonsils and adenoid at OHSU in Portland. It was a routine procedure although that doesn't make it any easier on a little one. He is fully recovered and definitely better off now than before. He is talking a lot now - putting 2 and 3 word phrases together. He says "dada home" and "baby wake up" as well as many others. He loves playing with his choo choos and he is starting to really enjoy playing with Bodhi too.
On March 28th we closed on our new house! That night we moved cribs, our bed and enough clothes and diapers to spend the first night in our brand new house. The next few days we enlisted the help of many friends and family members to move the rest of our belongings and help us get settled in. I have to say it was the most painless move ever! We love the new house and the neighborhood. It is full of young families and lots of young kids! There is a wonderful new park 2 blocks away and great views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. The neighbors are all very nice people and we look forward to watching the boys grow up here for many years to come. Easter was spent here in Hood River with numerous Easter egg hunts. Although this was Charlie's 3rd Easter it was the first that he's really participated in and kind of understood. He definitely enjoyed all the chocolate eggs!
Rex has completed working on two brewpub projects in Hood River - Double Mountain Brewery and Full Sail. He has returned to working on a house in Hood River building a custom entertainment center and library. I am back teaching yoga on a regular schedule in Hood River and will try to teach in Portland again soon. Bodhi is growing and continuing to be such a sweet baby boy. He is 9 months old now and is over 29" tall and weighs 23 lbs. In other words he is big! He says "mama" and tries to say "dada". He is standing holding onto things and is so close to crawling. He waves bye bye and smiles almost all the time.
